Defence Lawyer

The defense lawyer sits behind the
prosecutor. They represent the defendant – the person accused of
committing the crime. It’s their job to help this person.
They’ll ask you questions about what happened. That may be because the
defendant doesn’t agree with you. You might not like some of the questions and
it may be hard for you, but remember they’re doing their job. The defense may
also call witnesses to support their case. The prosecutor will have an
opportunity to question the defense witnesses as well.
