The State Treasurer and School Libraries

I’m Cynthia Kaump candidate for Wisconsin State Treasurer. Did you know this Office directly impacts the public school libraries throughout the state of Wisconsin? Well a lot of people don’t know that, but I do, because I worked as a Director in this Office and here’s how it works. The State Treasurer is constitutionally handed the task to administer the Unclaimed Property Program. Interest or revenue generated from that pot of money owned by you, the people, is then transfer to a board called the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands. That board invests the money and revenue from that series of investments and is then transferred to 4 school funds which directly impact and support school projects and public schools throughout the state. From 4K all the way through the university. So something to consider when properly manage these large pots of money and investments could generate even more revenue. Thus benefiting even more our public schools, our children, and our futures. I’m Cynthia Kaump. I do hope to earn your support as your next Wisconsin State Treasurer. Please, please vote Kaump for Treasurer on August 14th.
